Zoo

Day at the Zoo.

Before the schools closed  for the summer (Texas schools close for a whole 3 months!) we wanted to visit the popular Fort Worth Zoo whilst it was quiet enough to see the animals without having to dodge little ones. The Zoo  is home to around 5000 native and exotic animals, so we were not disappointed! The Zoo stretches over 65 acres and its main attractions include the Flamingo Bay, Great Barrier Reef, Eagle Canyon and the Elephant complex.

It was quite surprising to see so many animals and reptiles that we had not seen in the flesh before. Probably the most impressive was the White Tiger, Neela and the baby Elephants!

We didn’t really choose the best day to walk around the 65 acre plot as it was a scorching 35 degrees Celsius… oh well, time to top up the tan! Here are some photos of our trip taken by Chris…
